About
Having grown up in the the Southwest of England, Hope's inspiration for painting comes mainly from the coastline formed by ocean tides and powerful waves. Her work ranges from print making and ceramics to painting with both oils and acrylics, capturing the movement and glimmering light of the sea, creating a calming atmosphere that represents the beauty and awe of nature.
Hope studied environmental science at the University of Exeter based in Falmouth, Cornwall where she gained an appreciation for how the sea plays an important role in so many people's lives. She aims to combine her love for creating with her interest in environmental studies, emphasising the importance of a functioning environment through visual images.
